Born and raised in Sugar Land, Texas, Jennifer is a native Houstonian. She received a Bachelor of Science at the University of Houston. In college, Jennifer worked as a legal assistant in estate planning, probate, and civil litigation matters. She went on to attend the University of Houston Law Center (UHLC).
As a law student, Jennifer received an award for receiving the highest grade in the class in her Statutory Interpretation and Regulation course. She was also a student attorney in the UHLC Consumer Law Clinic and a contributing editor of the Journal of Consumer and Commercial Law. During law school, Jennifer was awarded a public-interest fellowship in consumer protection by the ABA Antitrust Law Section. As the 2022 Steiger Fellow at the Texas Office of the Attorney General, she participated in lawsuits against businesses, including multi-national technology companies like Google and Meta, for violations of the Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA).
Prior to starting at Doyle Dennis Avery LLP, she continued assisting with multi-district litigation cases as a law clerk at a mass-tort litigation firm. There, she worked on the 3M Combat Arms Earplugs (CAE) product liability lawsuit. Jennifer continues to work with 3M CAE clients at Doyle Dennis. Her current practice focuses on claims arising under FELA and the Jones Act, maritime law, bad faith insurance, and the DTPA. She is passionate about advocating on behalf of injured employees and consumers.
